First responders rushed to the 6200 block of Seminole Street in College Park shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Friday, when a car came to a crashing halt into a single-family home, according to authorities.

The crash led to a partial collapse of the home, while the car came to rest on its side leaning against the chimney with a tree on top.

Two people were taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and seven others are being assisted by the Prince George's Office of Emergency after being displaced.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
